 4 comments »Google Suppression SEO ToolEver notice that when you run a "site:" on Google, not all your pages show up in the index? Ever wonder why? Google doesnt display every page of every website in the search results. It looks through your site, indexes the pages, then turns around and suppresses some pages in the search results for one reason or another. If only there were a tool that could tell which pages Google is suppressing from searches, then you would be able to analyze the commonalities between the pages and figure out exactly what it is that Google doesnt like about them so you could get those precious pages re-included! Look no further, master craftsman, John McKnight has developed and published such a tool. Simply enter you url and click go. In seconds you will have a list of all the pages on your domain that Google is suppressing.

On first glance I notice that all of the indexed pages share the same description. I have seen Google suppress pages for this alone. If you have access to the HTML for those pages, make the description for each page different and related to the page. The next part would be go back to the suppressed page tool, pick the SEO option and let it suggest keywords for each of your pages. Put those keywords in your meta tags as well. Another little tweak for aiding searches is to take your name, address and other information out of the graphics and make it text so people can search for it. Start with these changes and give Google a little time to notice them and see if it improves.
