Hey, let’s face it, we’re all lazy in our own ways. For example, I don’t read books anymore, I listen to them on .mp3 now. That’s totally lazy. Truth is, we all have enough on our plates already and the last thing we want to do is add something new like real estate blogging to the mix, even if it will help to grow our businesses. So, we seek out the tips, tricks and shortcuts that make things like blogging easier. These are a few ideas for the “lazy man” in all of us.

So, what’s a lazy blogger to do?

Now, I am not recommending you use the following strategies long-term, however they do come in handy if you are swamped with work, going on vacation, need some much needed real estate blogging R&R or the dog ate your blog post.

COST: FREE

Strategically placed RSS feeds can help to build fresh content on your site each day. I do not recommend posting them on the home page of your real estate blog as they can confuse readers since they direct them offsite, but if placed together on the inner pages of your blog, can provide fresh fodder for visitors.

Hire a professional blogger to write unique content and seed articles to social media sites

COST: $16-$30/post

I am not a fan of populating your blog with all professional blogger content, but you can take a break once or twice per week from blogging by hiring a pro. Professional real estate bloggers write industry specific, SEOed content that is designed to be engaging. They charge between $16-30/post and usually can bang out an article on a days notice. So, when you are in a bind, call in the professionals and let them post for you.

Schedule guest bloggers to post on your blog for you from time to time.

COST: FREE

There are lots of other real estate bloggers out there that are chomping at the bit for the chance to post on a popular blog. You can select another industry blogger you know or go local and choose a lender or interior designer you have worked with. Ask them to write a tutorial article and let them plug themselves at the bottom of the post. Everyone comes away a winner. They feel like they got free advertising and you got to play hooky for a day from your blog.

On a blogging roll? Sometimes I write multi-part articles or a series of posts on a single topic in a single day. I schedule them to post later. For those systems that do not support that functionality, you could just save your posts in Word and manually post the article later. Having a cache of articles ready for rainy days when you just don’t feel like posting is a good idea. They can also come in handy when another blogger asks you to be a guest on their blog.

I love the site design. It makes me want to go get some candy. I like the idea of writing content to post later. Sometimes after a post I think I could write 3 or 4 more about different topics. And when I really need to write a post I of course cant think of anything.
