RealTyger: the other other real estate desktop and social network

About six months ago, I teased readers with the idea of what we’ve been building for RealESpace, a high powered social network and a real estate desktop through which you can manage your entire online presence and your back office. Well, we’re finally ready to unveil this super secret project we call RealTyger at Inman in San Francisco this August. The official launch is scheduled for September 1,2007, but we figured Inman should get the very first peek at our system.

What is RealTyger?

rtlogosmall_1.jpgRealTyger, first and foremost, is a cache of online real estate tools designed to completely manage your online presence from SEO and listings to lead generation and drip campaigns. It also offers the kinds of tool options that have thus far been missing in the industry like wholesale mortgage widgets and single point of entry listing management.  On the flip side, RealTyger is also a free blogging service/social network for elite real estate professionals to communicate directly with consumers in their farm area(s) through an interactive network of blog posts, groups, photos, listings, video tours, email, user profiles, lead generators, demographic map mashups, mortgage tools and podcasts/videocasts.

RealTyger’s social network ain’t no MySpace for Realtors. This consumer facing social network side of our system takes advantage of all the tools in the RealTyger desktop like home search and comparison, wholesale mortgage and neighborhood research tools while offering up only quality consumer focused local content to the public and search engine. This is the platform that will help real estate professionals quickly climb to the top of search engines for their farm areas and generate quality leads while providing the consumer with the kinds of tools and information they are looking for.

In order to ensure the integrity and quality of the content provided through the system, not all real estate professionals will be selected to write for this network. RealTyger has sent out priority invitations to the top 1,000 real estate bloggers across the country and will only accept additional bloggers that have a proven track record of writing quality consumer focused content. No more than 5 professionals will be selected for each farm area so the network can guarantee lead generation for our exclusive members while maintaining the highest quality of local and real estate content for the consumer.

Benefits:
  • Exclusive membership ensures high quality consumer focused content for each farm area
  • Higher quality content helps to attract more consumer traffic
  • RealTyger actively advertises and markets itself to the general consumer market so and your blog is quickly recognized as a real estate information destination by the consumer through the RealTyger branding
  • More quality traffic generates more qualified leads
  • Automated SEO guarantees your content will filter to the top of search engines quickly
  • Integrated lead generation, mortgage, video and listing tools offer greater interaction and usefulness to the consumer to keep visitors coming back
  • Less competition in each local area promises that you generate more leads from blogging on this social network than on any other

Want to See RealTyger First Hand?

See us at Inman in the RealTyger Room: AKA the Sacramento Room on the Mezzanine Floor.

Since RealTyger is making it’s debut, we decided to go all out and deck out our sponsor room at Inman like an exclusive club on par with Studio 54 and Hyde. So, just look for the velvet ropes and the RealTyger Security guards and feel special if we let you in to our little club. Just kidding, we’ll let you in.

Who’s Behind RealTyger?

RealTyger is led by Mark Warner and Jeff Corbett of RealESpace and John and Mary McKnight of RSS Pieces and boasts relationships with wholesale mortgage tool, RateSpeed, lead generator, 1ParkPlac e, video listing company, VLS, blogging platform RSS Pieces and neighborhood data center, Neighboroo.  Special Thanks to John McKnight forhis vision, direction and programming expertise on this project and the development of the application framework, Canons and the blogging framework, Diachronics, without which this system would not have been built.

Apply to Become a Neighborhood Expert on RealTyger’s Social Network, Launching September 1, 2007

Only top-tier real estate professionals will be selected for this exclusive network, so apply now to secure one of the few neighborhood expert positions available for your farm area(s).   Submit an Email here with your farm area name, zip code and a link to your existing blog and we will let you know if your requested farm area is still available. Some farms have already been filled, so act quickly.

Jeff was hinting at the details when I interviewed him. It sounds awsome.  Will your display be open during Bloggers Connect on Wednesday? I hope I'll have a chance to see it.

I think now that I started writing about stuff other than real estate all the time I am no longer considered a real estate blogger. I think my request got rejected.

Derek,

We actually have over 200 applicants thus far, so we are reviewing each blog individually and making selelctions.  You'll get an invite in the mail within the next couple of weeks if you are selected.  Although, I'm sure you will be.  The only people we must turn downare people on Tomato Blogs due to the litigation in Federal Court for Jim's violations against our copyrights.

Hi Mary,

This looks really interesting. I'll be at Blogger's Connect and hope to swing by your booth to learn more. This looks like a great cross - section of networking, technology, and built-in systems. Sounds intriguing!

Warm regards from Silicon Valley,

Mary Pope-Handy

PS

Every time I come upon a comment page that asks for my URL I never know which one to put in. This time I thought I would put in my Valley of Heart's Delight site. However, I DO have a blog and that can be found via www.LiveInLosGatos.com. (I'm toying with a couple of others too, including a new one on Haunted Real Estate).

Sorry for any confusion...

Pretty amazing idea.  This can be a "storefront" marketing tool with an automated "back office" marketing system.

Mary will you only be selecting people that use your blog platform.  I guess we need to talk again as I have been following your updates via Laurie's blog and may need to make some decisions.
