Map courtesy of The Daily News of Los Angeles Our thoughts and prayers are with all the real estate bloggers, friends and families we have in the Southern California area. We ask all our readers to pray for the families and homes of Brian Brady, Roberta Murphy, Jeff Turner, the entire staff of 1 Park Place and all the other families affected by the spreading wildfires in Malibu, Del Mar, San Diego, etc. While we have heard reports that most of the families mentioned have been evacuated to safety and will not have access to the Internet, please place your thoughts, prayers or updates in the comments below so they can read them once they can return to their homes. Comment from: Mary.MCKNIGHT [Member] Please especially pray for Brian Brady at this time, we have heard reports that the Witch fire is nearing his home. Please also pray for the firefighters that are putting their lives on the line to contain these fires and save our friends homes. Comment from: Laurie.Manny [Member] I just spoke with Brian Brady. The QualComm stadium is getting very crowded. The parking lot went from about 1000 cars to about 15000 overnight. The fires have not yet reached the Del Mar area, we hope they get them under control before this happens. His family remains safe at a hotel in Downtown San Diego. The victims are wondering what to do now? Stay at QualComm? Try to get out of the area? Not really knowing if they could successfully get out of the area. Not knowing what roads are open-or not. Not knowing if their home are gone or will survive. Brian would like to take his family to Arizona but doesn't know if the roads would permit it. Leaving San Diego would mean giving up a hotel room that they would not be able to get again, all hotels are full to capacity. I am amazed by Brian, in the face of tremendous loss, he still retains his incredible sense of humor. Wondering if his home will survive, he remains hopeful and ever - Brian Brady. Comment from: Mary.MCKNIGHT [Member] Laurie, Thank you for the update on Brian. Brian is definitely a rare man and a gentleman in the face of disaster.
