So, here is a quick list of sites you can submit to, list yourself in or comment on that will help to boost your real estate blogs rankings in the SERPs and build trust with Google. Every month I will give you 30 more backlink ideas. All sites I will provide will be free and non reciprocal backlinks unless otherwise noted. Why didnt I include any blogs? Simple, it is looking more and more like Google is discounting blog with an unnatural amount of incoming links form other blogs, so were going to stay away from that unless they have a huge PR and they dont have the no-follow tag turned on. Comment from: Cyndee.Haydon [Member] Wow - thanks for a great resource Mary! Lots of new sites to check out! Comment from: James Bridges [Visitor] Thanks for sharing about building backlinks. I have to say that getting people to “vote” for your website is probably the most difficult aspect of a successful SEO strategy. On page factors are much easier, but getting backlinks is the challenge that prevents many from hitting the top spots. Great work! Comment from: Chris [Visitor] Mary - Are these recommendations above and beyond paying for a service like Best Web Directories? Another alternative would be to use Amazon’s Mechanical Turk Service (paying pennies per task) to do the mindless inputing into these directories. Have you tried that service before?
Thanks Mary! Keep them coming…and I’ll keep submitting. Comment from: Daniel Bates [Visitor] I’m sorry, but this list is not what you’re claiming it to be. Rarely do I see anywhere close to the PR that you’ve listed and most of these sites are designed for purposes completely other than real estate (unlesss you’re selling homes in Latin America or Poland) so to post something on them would be useless spam in their eyes and hopefully deleted within a few minutes if they monitor their content. Others are deadlinks, probably because they wanted to avoid the traffic that your site is sending their way. I’m officially removing you from my feedreader because you’re nothing more than a blackhat fraud. Do you really think that this is what Google had in mind when they developed PR? YOU are the reason for no follow tags and I’m glad that they were invented. If you’re such the expert in SEO than you should be able to give people better advise than spamming sites that were created for a purpose other than backlink to your readers. Respect the internet, don’t wreck it. Comment from: Mary.MCKNIGHT [Member] Daniel, #1 we just had a PR update- some directories may have lost PageRank since I compiled this list (from reputable sources mind you) or they went out of business - there is nothing wrong with international directories. I am simply publishing high pagerank directories for the benfit of readers. #2 building some backlinks from general directories is still a good way to go - 30 backlinks isn’t SPAMMING - 5-7K is. #3 Blackhat is not building 30 links from a few directories. If you want to perpetuate myths like that go elsewhere, your anger and hate will not be missed here. #4 Wow, you really give me and this site some serious credit- I am the reason no-follow tags are invented and I am the reason directories took their sites down and I am wrecking the Internet… I’d say this borders on paronoia. Better stay inside- black helecopters might be circling your doorstep.
Comment from: Gino [Visitor] · http://www.propertyloans.co.za This is an excellent resource! thanx Comment from: John [Visitor] Thanks for the excellent link-resource. I’ve checked out quite a few already, and will do more tomorrow! Comment from: Barry Cunningham [Visitor] Mary, Show Daniel your true power. Say the word..push the button. We'll drive up to McClellanville and take him for a ride. We'll make sure to leave the cannolis! Nobody speak to Miss M that way...give me the order ...:) Geez Daniel...take a chill why don't ya. It's not like we're solving the worlds ills here. It's real estate blogging. You need to get out more dude... Lastly..if you don't like what Mary's saying, go ahead and turn the channel! And by the way...are you implying that no Realtor could read a story about Poland and comment on the actual story? Or do you think they will just leave a comment like.."Hey all y'all in Poland..if you make it to the states..look me up. I'll sell you a house" (sorry I wrote that in McClellanville speak. blogrankings.com, bloguniverse.com is no more and many of the sites have little to no PR. Worse of all most arent even cached by Google.
Comment from: Mary.MCKNIGHT [Member] "James" It's not as if we all don't know who YOU are. Go worry about your own site. I post lists of places you can build backlinks from- if they go out of business or fall in PR- then don't post there- I compile these lists form trusted sources and I cannot check every link myself- there are thousands of them. If anyone is "worried" because I listed a site that is no longer in existance or fell in a PR update- then they clearly have other issues as do you. Comment from: Chris Frantz [Visitor] Great list of back links. Thanks for sharing. Comment from: Cheryl Willis [Visitor] Don't know which was better the article or the comments to follow. Way to teach- show both sides of an idea and stay standing! thanks from a newbie - cheryl Comment on this article This post has no feedback awaiting moderation... |
