ActiveRain Talks Social Networking

Want a behind the scenes look at Active Rain? Check out REBlogGirl's interview with Matt Heatton.

Want to hear what the movers and shakers in the industry have to say? Me too! So, I figured I’d track them down, call them up or plain old stalk them to get those questions answered. Our first interview is with Matt Heatton and Jonathan Washburn of ActiveRain.   These two lifelong friends certainly have a lot to say about social networking and each other, so if you want the dirt on Matt, listen up!

Active Rain

Active Rain is a community blogging platform that has blossomed to almost 10,000 real estate professional members since June 2006. The Active Rain Team intends to launch a consumer branded sister site to Active Rain shortly to grow its network and better connect real estate professionals with consumers. Want to hear what the active minds behind Active Rain have to say?  Listen to the podcast!

Stay tuned for telling interviews with Niki Scevak of Real Estate Voices, Paula O'Brien of RoninTech, Christine Forgione of NYHousese4Sale and Damion Flynn of Viking Realty.

Want to get in on the action?  Call (239-214-2321) or email me and we can set up an interview.

Great interview! I kept thinking when is Jonathan going to talk? It was funny the way he deflected the question and made it about Matt.

Maureen, you have no idea. I can really see that Jonathan has gotten a lot of people into a lot of trouble over the years. He is quite a card. One comment I didn't get on record was when we asked if Matt got into real estate or technology because of his parents. Jonathan, said "no, his mother was too busy banning fireworks from our town." They are both great guys and a lot of fun to hang out with.

Great interview - done at NAR I take it? Is there recommended software or online service (Best of Breed) for Podcasts?

A bunch of high school friends pulled together a really great site. That was interesting, Mary! I will be looking forward to the next one.

Hi

I have a question. I am the webmaster for a real estate company - http://www.hollowayandassoc.com .
Our main target keyword is " Huntsville Alabama Real estate" . This
website has over 10,000 external links and 231 backlinks.

However, it does not rank in Google. I look up to page 40 in Google
and it is no where to be found.

The previous webmaster and hosting company was ADVANCED ACCESS. I
heard that this company was engaged in some preferential linking
technigues.

Four month ago when i took over i removed all the Advanced Access
material and create a new site on the same domain.

Please, what can i do to get the website back on track and ranking in
Google?
