What is PageRankPageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual pages value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. What are backlinks?In simple terms, search engines consider each backlink a ˜vote for your site. It is a way for Google to determine the overall authority and popularity of your site. This is all you have to do to build authority for your blog. Ideally you should have about 1,000 backlinks in Google, however, be careful not to build these links too fast (100 links/week is acceptable).
