Guide to a successful real estate blog launch

I've been providing this quick checklist to our clients for months now, but why keep it under wraps, there are plenty of other bloggers that could benefit from it!

OK, so you have a blog, but are you launching it with  bang or a pop?  Your real estate blog deserves the very best.  I mean you put your blood, sweat and tears into each article, so you should send it off into the blogosphere with as much fan fare as you can muster.   I've been providing this quick checklist to our clients for months now, but why keep it under wraps, there are plenty of other bloggers that could benefit from it!  So, here's my Ultimate Guide to Launching Your Real Estate Blog.

  1. Launch with no less than 5 fresh articles
  2. List your site on Real Estate Top Sites (provide the required code to your web developer after you join the directory)
  3. Use Best of the Web Directories to submit your site to 200 free directories

Write and Publish a Press Release on PR Web announcing your launch. Select the SEOed release
Within 1 week of launching your site write a controversial post

Submit your posts to Real Estate Voices and other social networks

Announce the launch of your site on Active Rain and invite strategic professionals on the network to guest blog on your site
Plan an online event

Remember to link both internally to other posts on your site and out to other blogs and sites in each posts

All are great tools in geting a blog started. It is also key to make sure that you are always working on your blogs and expanding your network and visability. Blogging is a lot like working out, just one or two workouts won't help much, yet daily workouts can make a world of difference.
