How to put your real estate blog on the First Page of Google and go from a PR 0 to a PR 5 in 2.5 months

Cyndee Haydon of Clearwater Beach Real Estate, armed with only rudimentary white hat SEO information and an unparalleled dedication to success, took a brand new blog to the top of Google and a PageRank 5 in less than 3 months.

Clearwater Florida Real Estate

The good news is, her success can be replicated. In February, Cyndee moved a version of her WordPress blog to the RSS Pieces Real Estate Blog platform after the WordPress version fell out of the search engines for many prime terms due to some structual faults and an ill configured plugin.

Mary.

What an excellent post, and excellent tools. It’s so fun to see examples of white hat SEO that works well, and works quickly.

Wow Mary - we couldn’t have done it without YOU and we just wanted to say Thank YOU (Laurie Manny is so much more poetic than me (see yesterday:D) for all the guidance and help you’ve given us)

Like I said in your post last night - the Page Rank is nice however the fact that we keep hitting Google Page 1 in the #1 position (something we’ve never experienced before) for things like Clearwater Florida Real Estate is what it’s all about for us ($$$) and while we know it’s bouncing around - we’re still on the first page for most of our key terms already and we’re so excited to see where we go from here.

What I hope every readers get from this is that “ANYONE can do it” since it was really just implementing the tips you give both in your blog and webinars. I’m still amazed at your constant generousity to just give your SEO knowledge out for FREE to anyone who is interested.

We actually found implementing your SEO tips and recommendations (submitting to directories, creating backlinks, etc) first while the blog was brand new was really good timing since we weren’t going to show up very well in Google right off the bat.

I have to say the SEO optimizing we’ve seen your RSSPieces “blogware” do automatically is amazing to watch and we can’t say enough good things about the power of 1ParkPlace - there’s nothing like it.

Using the Just Dropped website tool…I can find domains that have been recently dropped, but how do you find out if the site holds PageRank and what rank it holds?

I've worked on backlinking and have some fairly solid ones w/o no-follows that bring traffic to my fairly new site.

However, it seems that search engines are very slow to pick these up.

For example, I did a yahoo search for my backlinks:

Search result

and 6 come up.  Google Webtools shows 68 "pages with external links to your site," but I know of several pages not included.

Any wisdom in this area?  Hoping to improve my PageRank from a 2 next update and have more priority over important Google searches.

Mary,

Thanks -- this post hit home with trying to figure out what I need to with my WP blog, www.LasVegasRealEstate4u.com. It sounds like I need to do the exact same thing that Cyndee did.
