Increase Daily Traffic to YOUR Real Estate Blog

mybloglog_logo.jpgOften I get the question from clients "How do I increase my traffic on my real estate blog?" Well, there are many ways to do this, and the latest tool I have tried is MyBlogLog. This is a social networking site that was created by two guys that live here in Florida. It’s a great way to market your blog while making new contacts. Although there are many other sites out there such as Digg, Reddit, Technorati and deLicio.us, MyBlogLog offers some pretty cool features.

MyBlogLog offers a great way for you to see who is visiting your blog and what they are reading. What I mean is that MyBlogLog offers a widget for every person that signs up that you can put on your blog. This will show the avatars of your most recent visitors on your site. Pretty cool, huh? Just think about the network you will be able to build. You begin browsing through MyBlogLoggers profiles and checking out other sites,mybloglog.thumbnail.jpg leaving your face behind as a trail. You also have the capability to see what content on your blog readers like most. The tool that allows you to do this is called "Click Tagging", when your cursor is hovered over a link, a box will appear showing you how many people have viewed that link within the past 24 hours. There is also a cool statistics page on your MyBlogLog page. This page allows you to view not only the number of clicks but the number of views to your site! I’m getting a pretty tingly feeling inside already! No, being able to see how many views you are getting a day from MyBlogLog is NOT to compensate for the existing statistics tools you may have. It’s just another advantage to signing up.

Here at RSS Pieces we have noticed an increase in our daily traffic from other bloggers noticing my avatar on their page that I have visited. They check out my profile which leads them to our site, I see their picture on our site and check out their site and the circle continues. Not only will it increase your traffic but will give you a chance to build your network. Stop and think for a second about how many new people you can meet and network with just by seeing a picture. Like they always say... a picture is worth a thousand words, right? Now you can build your network and get a mental image of these bloggers that are visiting your site, so if you see one of them at the next conference you go to, or just walking down the street, you can recognize their face and give them a face to face “Thank You for checking out my site!”  And the networking begins!

Love your BLOG design, very cool!

MyBlogLog is a great site for networking with people who like to talk about the same subjects.  There have been many changes since I started in December and they do a great job of keeping the spammers out.

Using the same avatar on multiple social networks is a big plus.  I do the same thing.

Best of luck to you.

Personally haven't had loads of success with MyBLogLog but that's most likely because my BLOG's mainly targeting South Africans and those interested in South African property and it doesn't seem to have a big following on MyBlogLog.

Bu I think it is a great way to bring new traffic to your site.

Thanks for the artcile.

It is amazing how many real estate professionals have found their way to MyBlogLog.  I think that has a lot to do with the You, Mary, and the Active Rain community.  Keep up the good work.

I can see using mybloglog on my active rain blog, but my consumer blog probably has a different reader, although I know a lot of AR people do visit it.  Would it register people who have not signed up with mybloglog previously?  The average consumer (in my case, mostly baby boomers) might not even know what it is.

Sam,

Yes we do get quite a bit of traffic because our blog is well known and we have many features that others don't have.  However, We have recently noticed that once The Fairy BlogMother and I signed up for MyBlogLog and began reading other blogs and posting comments, that traffic has significantly increased.

 Thank you Andrew!

 Chris,

The "clicks" thing I mentioned is a widget as soon as you add that to your page I think you will REALLY begin to notice how many people are visiting your site daily.  Good luck!

 WizardMan,

I checked out your blog and noticed you don't have the widget anywhere on your blog.   Which as mentioned that it is a good feature to have for the simple reason of you being able to see who is visiting your site, now click their picture and visit their site, then visit some of the people that visit ed their site leave your face behind!  Have fun with it, join communities!  Best of luck to you.

 4MySales,

Thank you for the comment and I hope you find as much use in MyBlogLog as the rest of us do.

 Joanne,

The answer to your question if I understand correctly would be no.  You must sign up for MyBlogLog first before you can have a picture and a profile to link to it.  I wrote this post for that reason, to let people know about it so they can begin to utilize the tools that are available to help make their blog number 1.
