RSS Hugger, A Blog Directory that Actually Understands SEO

So, I am in the process of writing an ultimate guide to real estate blog promotion and backlinking.  In that process, I am reviewing hundreds of blog directories to see which ones require reciprocal links and if you have to leave those reciprocal links on your site in infinitum or if you can remove them in a couple of weeks.  (Notice the dreaded chiclets in one of my side bar widgets).  Anyhow, when it came to RSS Hugger, a blog directory that combines Technorati, rss directories, and search engine optimization into one, I LOVED the way they required the reciprocal link.  Instead of some rediculously useless chiclet, they want me to write a review of their site.  This a makes perfect sense, they get a high quality backlink and some press.  Now, what do I particularly like about RSS Hugger?  I have the ability to post my RSS feed, get listed in their directory and I am dealing with a service that actually understands SEO.  So, take your blog and submit it to RSS Hugger, NOW!

And just in case you are wondering, Yes, I Still Hate Your Chiclets

RssHugger is a weblog directory that basically combines Technorati, rss directories, and search engine optimization into one. If you own a blog, you can get your own page on rssHugger for 10 years by giving an honest review of the site on your blog. If you want to join rssHugger but do not want to review our site, you can pay a one time review fee of $20. This fee, allows the site's authors to keep out a lot of the spam/useless blogs.

RssHugger features a featured blog on the home page, Top100 page, a "random blog" page that, as the name suggest, shows up one blog of the directory, and a search page, that lets you browse into the feeds.

Sign-up and submit your blog to RssHugger.

(Additional information about RSS Hugger and other blog directories can be found on the illustrious Robin Good's site)

Thanks Mary. I'll give it a whirl. Why not?

I named you in my RSS Hugger post! If Hugger is a success, we owe it to you. If it fails, it's all your fault! ;)

I have yet to do RSS Hugger.  I think it is a great business model (for them), they are brilliant to do it that way, requiring the 'how great they are' text.
