RSS Pieces SEO tools

RSS Pieces releases free SEO tools: The Why
You asked for it, we delivered. Just in case you haven't yet signed up for an RSS Pieces blog that automatically SEOs all content, we thought we'd give you the tools to do it yourself on your own sites.  Use the RSS Pieces SEO tools to generate 100% Yahoo! relevancy keywords for each page of your website or blog, check your Google Page Rank and crawl your site to see it how a search engine does.  We firmly believe that knowledge is meant to be gained and disseminated.  Because of that policy we are releasing a BETA set of SEO tools that perform a number of useful functions that will be extended as time goes by.  Your suggestion could be the on that gets included in the next release so please review each tool and let us know which ones can be extended and what new tools could be created.  The interface will evolve over time so please ignore its current ugliness.

All that aside, here are some of the features.

The Features

Am I Banned - Simple tool that tests to see if a domain may be banned by looking at a number of factors.  Use this if you have any doubts but remember that a 0 response can be a false positive caused by a lost connection or exceeding our calls to Google for the day.

Suppressed pages tool - This tools runs through your indexed pages and shows the ones that Google is hiding from its search results.  If you examine these pages, you may find what Google hates and fix it.

Keyword tool - Extracts the keywords from the URL that you have provided.

Description - Extracts the description from a web page.

Term Extraction - Used to suggest keywords for a page.  It uses two techniques to find decent keywords.  The first method is basic keyword distribution with a 1000+ word stop list that strips out keys that Google doesn't like.  The next uses an external API to arrive at more appealing words and phrases.  The one with the best value if returned.

Keyword Relevance - Returns a measure of keyword to content relevance by comparing against Yahoo's idea of good and our histogram.  The two scores are also returned as an average.

Google Page Rank - Straightforward.  Your Google PageRank

GPR 1 Level - This spiders your page 1 level deep and then displays the page rank of all the links that are on site.

Relevance 1 Level - This spiders one page deep and does keyword relevance.

Google Sitemap - This crawls your site and tries to build a Google approved sitemap.

Tidy HTML - This is NOT always trustworthy so keep your original code!  This also tries to strip Word formatting when it can.

The Disclaimer

So there were the descriptions and now the disclaimer.  It can all blow up and leave nothing left of your site.  Don't SEO and drive.  Don't SEO without proper backups.  Don't step on the stray pixels, they have family too.
